Environmental audit or Green audit is a general term that can reflect various types of evaluations intended to identify environmental compliance and management system implementation gaps, along with related corrective actions. In this way they perform an analogous (similar) function to financial audits. The term “Green” means eco-friendly or not damaging the environment. This can acronymically is called as “Global Readiness in Ensuring Ecological Neutrality” (GREEN). “Green Auditing”, an umbrella term, is known by another name “Environmental Auditing”.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, New Delhi (NAAC) has made it mandatory from the academic year 2019–20 onwards that all Higher Educational Institutions should submit an annual Green, Environment and Energy Audit Report
For achieving the Green Audit certification our college has undergone a self study assessment followed by independent assessment by QRO ( Quality Research Organisation an member of IAF) for environmental auditing to obtain a Environmental Management Certification of ISO14001:2015 (Certificate Number: 305023062210E) in compliance to the Advisory on ISO 9001/Green Certificates/Audits ( F. NO- 14-29/2022 published on 26th May,2002) by NAAC, Bangalore vividly described in Point One and Three.
For achieving the Energy Audit certification our college has undergone a self study assessment followed by independent assessment by QRO ( Quality Research Organisation an member of IAF) for energy auditing to obtain a Energy Management Certification of ISO 50001:2018 (Certificate Number: 305023062211EN) in compliance to the Advisory on ISO 9001/Green Certificates/Audits ( F. NO- 14-29/2022 published on 26th May,2002) by NAAC, Bangalore vividly described in Point One and Three.
