UTILIZATION OF SOLAR ENERGY

Solar Power Project Implementation in Collaboration with WBREDA (West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency, Govt. of West Bengal) is a Green energy Initiative of the College – (Letter vide Reference No. WBREDA/105(2016)/375). Raja Peary Mohan College has successfully taken up the challenge of installation of solar panels at the roof top as a step to utilize the largest renewable form of energy on the planet Earth. 

The Solar Energy Harvesting Unit was only GRID TIE TYPE.
• installed on February 2017
• with solar panels of   1kWp capacity each ( a total of 20 in nos) 
• thereby with an Array capacity 20 kWp.
• The solar energy thus harvested are utilized in lighting various electricals within the college campus and the excess produced during holidays are wheeled back to the grid.
